Founder & Director Wilson Pierce IV is a police officer with the Lansing Police Department located in Lansing Illinois, a southern suburb of Chicago. Since his start with the force in 2001, Wilson has been trained and state certified in many different areas, such as: G.R.E.A.T and D.A.R.E, bike patrol, police department recruitment team, crime scene investigator, homicide detective, juvenile detective, and school resource officer. In 2008 Wilson became the juvenile detective for the Lansing School District’s 158, 171, and 215.
It was during this time that Detective Pierce, who had already been personally mentoring children, began implementing what is now known as H.O.M.E’s STAR Program. The principles that are taught in the STAR program are produced in a way that hopefully connect with kids and show them that all things are possible with discipline and hard work. Wilson enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and fraternity (Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.). Wilson also loves to travel, listen to music, work out, and collect comic books. Wilson is a proud graduate of Governor’s State University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Wilson currently resides in Lansing IL. with his beautiful wife and four children.
